Tierra Innovation, a leading strategy, design and technology firm based in NYC, and WNET.ORG (PBS Channel Thirteen in New York) collaborated on a groundbreaking project using WordPress Multi-User (WPMU) as a content management system to power many of WNET.ORG’s individual program websites. This allowed WNET.ORG to cut costs, streamline their Web publishing process and improve the user experience across their network of sites.

During the course of the project, Tierra and WNET.ORG developed a number of plugins that extend the functionality of WordPress, enabling it to be used as a content management system (CMS). We have generalized those plugins, and are now offering them as a Toolkit to the WordPress community.
