This plugin doesn’t work well. For example, well you click on report comment, one does not even know when the comment has been submitted. Please help!

Nevermind, I see what you meant now. The jQuery version had problems as well, but i figured it out. The messages were sending, the status said “sending…please wait”, but every time it would send back an error.

Ultimately I discovered that the report.php page was returning a 404 even though the page was returning a proper result. So I added the line:
status_header(’200′);
just before the final echo statement at the bottom of report.php.

Hope that helps anyone else struggling with this out there.

hey – super cool and sorry to add to your workload but i’m struggling a bit. seems the plugin works in that the link appears, i can click it to open a text area, i can fill in that text area and the report gets sent over email, but after the user clicks submits the report nothing happens for them — the text area doesn’t close down, there’s no confirmation message — as far as they know it just didn’t work. weird, eh?

not sure what i’m doing wrong… if you check the website you’ll see the button is above the comment area. i had to hack that to get it to work but i don’t think it’s related, as i seem to have the problem in both un-hacked (out-of-box) form, as well as hacked…

Hey buddy,

Fantastic plugin… works Perfect!

Just wondering if you could add a “Cancel” button
right next to the “Report Comment” button please?

That way it would give the “whinging” user an
option whether to report it or not…

resulting in less moderation

would happily send you a $10 beer via paypal
for this little mod.

coz I totally suck at php/wp lol.

Sorry. I should clarify.

First – I see that I mistyped the your plugin directory. I meant to type /wp-content/plugins/report-comments/report.php

Second – I double-checked and the file does exist in that directory.

I’m having trouble with this on WP 3.0.1.

I get a 404 error on /wp-content/plugins/reports-comments/report.php
