Telepictures TV

Ahead of the the launch of Apple’s original iPad, Tierra’s development team was instrumental in ensuring that that several Telepictures websites, including the wildly popular TMZ.com, was fully optimized for iPad.  This entailed removing all Flash elements and re-coding significant portions of the websites including all video components to support HTML5 playback.  Other sites included as part of this optimization project included Ellen, Extra, Tyra, Essence, Momlogic, and TooFab.

The project was completed with a minimal advance notice from Apple in the weeks ahead of the device launch.

Apple featured TMZ.com along with 5 other Warner Bros. properties that the Tierra team optimized on its ‘iPad-ready’ list page in April 2010.
