Completely redesigned in 2018, The CW iOS App quickly has quickly become one of the most popular TV apps in the App Store. The app was ranked #1 in Entertainment Category multiple times in 2018 and 2019 and is consistently a top performer. Millions of active users now use The CW daily to catch up on their favorite shows.
Tierra collaborated with The CW Digital design team to architect and develop the new ad-supported app and introduced several unique features among network TV apps, including expiring episode messaging, deep-linking to The CW’s Seed app, locally stored Recently Watched episodes and more. Under the hood are multiple integrations with reporting, ad-serving, and other tracking partners. In addition, a recent update brought the app fully in compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act.
The app is powered by the Tierra-developed CMS that also supports all of The CW’s other web, mobile, and OTT apps.
