Launched in October 2016 ahead of broadcast premieres, the new CW app offers all available CW broadcast programming via AppleTV.
Tierra collaborated with The CW team to architect and develop the new app and introduced several unique features among network TV apps, including expiring episode messaging, deep-linking to The CW’s Seed AppleTV app, locally stored Recently Watched episodes and more. The app was also spotlighted in Apple’s most recent product announcements and included as a featured app with the release of the new TV app Watch Now and search functionality on AppleTV.
The app is powered by the Tierra-developed CMS that also supports all of The CW’s other web, mobile, and OTT apps.
The AppleTV app was among the top 5 AppleTV apps for the first few weeks post launch and has consistently ranked in the top 15 since then, ahead of multiple larger network apps.

The Last Chance to Watch section highlights episodes that will expire within 6 days
